Membership
CVACT serves the Catawba County Unifour area as an association of individuals engaged in professional mental health services. The purpose of the association is to foster the professional development of counselors and therapists, to advance the application of the field of mental health services through communications, dissemination of information, and collaboration of experiences among colleagues, and to work toward the overall goal of excellence in the care and service to clients.
CVACT offers an increased referral base among clinicians and the public through advertising in our County Directory, Website and participation in our Wellness Fair.
CVACT also provides CEU credits for our lectures and workshops. CEUs are distributed by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) and may be used to satisfy required continuing education hours. To be in accordance with CVACT bylaws, the fiscal year is
September 1–August 31, and membership renewal begins September 1
